Niki if it makes you feel any better my dad said some of the best times he had was rocking me and my brother to sleep. He really didn't think there was any other way to put a baby to sleep. Even when we were older we would go sit on my dad's lap and he would rock us. Those are some of the best memories I had with my dad. We called them "daddy rocks." He looked forward to it as much as we did.
